Information about the Classes
These are popular and friendly classes where you will learn how to really relax and also improve your strength, flexibility, balance, co-ordination and posture.
We practice yoga postures in a mindful way; you are encouraged to work to your own capacity. Modifications and variations are offered to all participants.
Breath-work forms an important part of the classes. Gradually you become more aware of your breath which leads to improved breathing, and many other benefits including better health and an ability to cope with stress.
For those who are interested, we explore the philosophy of Yoga with themes and short readings.
Yoga is non-competitive listen to your body and don’t over-stretch.
Wear loose comfortable clothing allowing free movement.
Allow 2 hours to elapse after eating a light meal before practicing yoga ( 3-4 hours after a main meal ).
If possible, remove jewellery.
Bring a mat to exercise and relax on.
Extra clothing or a blanket, and cushions may be needed for relaxation.
You are invited to join in the yoga programme but if there is anything you feel you should not do then please miss it out.
Consult your Doctor first if you have any doubts about your fitness to practice yoga.

Daytime Classes – £75.00 per 10 week term
Evening Classes – £80.00 per 10 week term
